NOW, WE ARE A BIT TIRED AND WE NEED SOME SUMMER HOLIDAYS... SO BYE BYE FOR NOW... WE WILL COME BACK IN SEPTEMBER WITH MORE FRESH NEWS.

CREATIVE ENVIRONMENTS

Most people have particular ways of working or studying that they feel work best for them. For example, my partner always has music on while she works, whereas I prefer silence. Is this just a personal preference, or is one actually better than the other? Some of the things that scientists have been finding out about how we can be most creative might surprise you. It turns out that she’s right and I’m wrong (not for the first time!). According to Professor Ravi Mehta, a moderate level of noise is better for our creativity than silence. So quiet music is a good idea. Too much noise isn’t good, though – especially listening to other people’s telephone conversations. This is particularly distracting because our brain is automatically trying to solve the puzzle of what is being said by the person we can’t hear.

And what about heating? Surely it’s better to be in a cooler room to stop yourself from being sleepy? Well, apparently not. One study from Cornell University showed that when temperatures were lower, at twenty degrees Celsius, employees made 44% more mistakes than when it was twenty-five degrees. If you’re feeling cold, you are using a lot of your precious energy to keep warm, so there’s less energy for being innovative. And that’s not all. Ever been told ‘tidy desk, tidy mind’? Well, apparently, having a messy desk is actually better for being inventive. Think that being tired makes it difficult to come up with good ideas? Think again. When we’re tired, our brain is less efficient, but it’s also more likely to make new connections, which means we’re more likely to come up with something truly creative. Naps can also be good, though, especially at helping you remember things. It seems that most of what I thought about being creative is wrong!

SOME STUDENTS ARE CRYING BECAUSE THEY CAN'T BELIEVE THEY HAVE PASSED EVERYTHING, HOWEVER, SOME OTHERS ARE CRYING TOO BECAUSE THEY HAVE FAILED AND THEIR HOLIDAYS ARE GOING TO BE HELL. tO THESE ONES, I WOULD SAY: 'YOU SHOULD HAVE THOUGHT ABOUT THE CONSEQUENCES BEFORE"

ANYWAY, WE ARE SATISFIED WITH THE ACCOMPLISHED OBJECTIVES IN GENERAL AND VERY PROUD OF ALL OUR PROJECTS WHICH WERE A LOT THIS YEAR.

LIVING IN A CITY OR IN THE COUNTRY.....?????

DO YOU AGREE WITH ME??

When we think about living in a city or in the countryside we find advantages and disadvantages in both.

In a city the access to the culture is easier because there are cinemas, theatres, concerts, art galleries, etc. Also there are more offers of activities to do in the free time than the village. However, the life is more expensive, it spend more time to go to somewhere and the people have more stress; in addition the housing is more expensive and people live normally in small flats.

On the contrary, the life in the countryside is cheaper and the people normally life in a house. The children can play in the street and around de village. The air is better and you are in contact with the nature. It is easy going to everywhere and nobody have stress. However if you want to attend concerts either watch a good movie or buy fashionable clothes you have to go to the city.

I have lived in a village and in a  city and I think when you are a child, it is better living in a village because you can play with your friends and go everywhere without your parents. You are freer than in a city and you spend a lot of time out of house. However when you are young is better living in a city because you have more resources to study, to hobbies and sport activities.

In conclusion, depending on your age, it is better living in one place or another. If I had to choose, I would choose living in a city nevertheless I wouldn't problem to live in a village

2nd ESO GO TREKKING....

ALL THE STUDENTS OF 2ND ESO WENT YESTERDAY TREKKING ALONG THE RIVER EBRO.  WE WERE ACCOMPANIED BY THE P.E. TEACHERS: LUISA AND INMA.

IT WAS FUN BUT THERE WERE A LOT OF MOSQUITOS AND IT WAS TOO HOT.

THE ACADEMY OF SHOTTON HALL

WE WENT TO VISIT THE ACADEMY OF SHOTTON HALL, IN PETERLEE, NEWCASTLE, AS PART OF OUR ERASMUS+  "GREEN JOBS".

IT IS A VERY MODERN BUILDING, 2 YEARS OLD WITH THE LOOK OF A HOTEL, WHERE THE STUDENTS WEAR A UNIFORM AND HAVE A LOT OF FACILITIES.

OVER 1200 STUDENTS IN A STATE SCHOOL.

THE STUDENTS WERE AMAZED AS WE ENTERED THE THEATRE OF THE SCHOOL FOR THE PRESENTATIONS OF OUR GREEN COMPANIES, 'ATADES' ECOFRIENDLY CENTER IN OUR CASE.

MARITZA, OUR PUPIL FROM ADM IS DOING PRACTICE JOB IN MONTPELLIER, FRANCE, THANKS TO THE ERASMUS+ FOR TRAINING STUDENTS.

 WE GO ON A MOTIVATION TRIP EVERY YEAR WITH STUDENTS FROM BACHILLERATO AND IT WOULD BE A PITY THAT WE SOULD HAVE TO BE AFRAID OR SCARED BECAUSE OF THOSE YIHADISTS THAT HAVE NO FEELINGS.

STUDENTS IN ATAPUERCA....

OUR STUDENTS WENT TO VISIT ATAPUERCA WITH THE TEACHER OF PHILOSOPHY LAST APRIL 2017.

ADM 3 GO TO SORIA NATURAL WITH THEIR TEACHERS.......

The students from ADM 3 went to Soria last 5th of June, 2017, accompanied by their teachers.

They visited the town, the ruins of Numancia and a very interesting enterprise.

HERE AT PEDRO CERRRADA, OUR 4TH YEAR PUPILS HAVE BEEN BUILDING THEIR OWN CHESTS WITH  THE  'TECHNOLOGY TEACHER. AND THEY SHOWED THEM IN 'RECREARTE'  SESSION LAST WEEK.

THEY SAY IT WOULD BE NICE TO USE THEM IN THEATRE.
