WILD POEMS ( TRANSLATED FROM J.R.Jimenez)
POEMAS AGRESTES
(1910-11)
BY Juan Ramón Jimenez
(Translated by M.H.)
… And I
will go, and birds will rest singing
And my
orchard will remain,
with its
green trees and its white pit.
Alll
afternoons, the sky is blue and calm
And they
will ring, as they are doing today
Yes, the
bells of the bellfry.
They will
die, the ones who love me
And the
village will renew every year
And in that
corner of my flowery White orchard
My soul
will wander ……….nostalgic.
…………And I
will go, and I will be alone,
No home, no
green tree, no white pit
No blue and
calm sky
And the
birds will remain singing…………….

FALLING IN LOVE / STAYING IN LOVE
DID YOU KNOW YOU
CAN FALL IN LOVE WITH ANYONE JUST BY ASKING THEM 36 QUESTIONS?
Mandy Len Catron tried this
experiment, it worked, and she wrote a viral article about it. But is that real love? Did it last? And what’s the
difference between falling in love and staying in love? Experts say that the passion of love lasts no more than one or two years... then, it develops in a different feeling.

CLIMATE CHANGE IS HERE..........(by Marina García)
CLIMATE CHANGE IS HAPPENING. HERE´S HOW WE ADAPT
Imagine the hottest day you've ever experienced. Now imagine it's six, 10 or 12 degrees hotter. According to climate researcher Alice Bows-Larkin, that's the type of future in store for us if we don't significantly cut our greenhouse gas emissions now. She suggests that it's time we do things differently—a whole system change, in fact—and seriously consider trading economic growth for climate stability.

YOU CAN GROW NEW BRAIN CELLS....!! ( Mónica Enciu)
Neuroscientist Sandrine
Thuret says that we can, and she offers research and practical advice on how we
can help our brains better perform neurogenesis—improving mood, increasing
memory formation and preventing the decline associated with aging along the
way.
Now Robert is not a neuroscientist, and when he went to medical school he was not taught
what we know now -- that the adult brain can generate new nerve cells.
HE has estimated that we produce 700 new neurons per
day in the hippocampus. You might think this is not much, compared to the billions of neurons we have. But by the time we turn 50, we will have all exchanged the neurons we were born
with in that structure with adult-born neurons. And what we've known already
for very long, is that this is important for learning, memory, mood
and emotion.

ALL DESEASES WILL BE CURED.... !!!! (Marcos -Adm 3)
MEDICINE OF THE FUTURE
Current medical treatment boils down to six words: Have disease, take
pill, kill something. But physician Siddhartha Mukherjee points to a future of
medicine that will transform the way we heal.
Soon we will cure diseases with a cell, not a pill.
HOW MY MIND CAME BACK TO LIFE & NO ONE KNEW (Vanesa Martinez)
HOW MY MIND CAME
BACK TO LIFE – AND NO ONE KNEW
Imagine
being unable to say, "I am hungry", "I am in pain,"
"thank you," or "I love you,” — losing your ability to communicate,
being trapped inside your body, and surrounded by people yet utterly alone. For
13 long years, that was Martin Pistorius’s reality. After contracting a brain
infection at the age of twelve, Pistorius lost his ability to control his
movements and to speak, and eventually he failed every test for mental
awareness. He had become a ghost. But then a strange thing started to happen —
his mind began to knit itself back together.
“An
aromatherapist began coming to the care home about once a week. Whether through
intuition or her attention to details that others failed to notice, she became
convinced that I could understand what was being said. She urged my parents to
have me tested by experts in augmentative and alternative communication. And
within a year, I was beginning to use a computer program to communicate. It was
exhilarating, but frustrating at times. I had so many words in my mind, that I
couldn't wait to be able to share them. Sometimes, I would say things to myself
simply because I could. In myself, I had a ready audience, and I believed that
by expressing my thoughts and wishes, others would listen, too.”

HOW TO FIND THE JOB YOU LIKE.... (by Ivana Baiges)
TIPS FOR LONELY PEOPLE......(by Pablo Alonso)
(by Pablo Alonso )
Loneliness is a subjective
feeling. You may be surrounded by other people, friends, family, workmates
— yet still feel emotionally or socially disconnected from those
around you. Other people are not guaranteed to shield us against the raw
emotional pain that loneliness inflicts.
But raw emotional pain is only
the beginning of the damage loneliness can cause. It has a huge impact on our
physical health as well. Loneliness activates our physical and psychological stress
responses and suppresses the function of our immune systems. This puts us at
increased risk for developing all kinds of illness and diseases, including
cardiovascular disease. Shockingly, the long-term risk chronic loneliness poses
to our health and longevity is so severe, it actually increases risk of an early death by 26%.
