WE ARE VERY HAPPY TO HAVE A LOT OF CELEBRITIES IN ARAGON, I MEAN PEOPLE WHO WERE A TURINING POINT FOR SOCIETY. HERE IS AN EXAMPLE:

Santiago Ramón y Cajal was a recognised doctor at the end of the 19th century
and beginning of the 20th century.
He was born in Petilla de Aragón, a small village in Navarra, however surrounded
by villages in Aragon. Due to his father’s job, a doctor too, Santiago lived in
different places:Luna, Valpalmas and Ayerbe. Thanks to his father's profession,
Santiago visited the local cemetery to recover corpses and from there, his first focus
in medicine. Despite this interest, since he was a child, he was excellent in arts.
Finally, he decided to study A Degree in Medicine in Zaragoza.
When he finished his studies, he went to Cuba as a doctor during the Ten years War.
Upon return, he started a PhD and his scientific vocation . Unfortunately, in these years,
Santiago contracted tuberculosis. Shortly afterwards, he
got married with Silveria, his partner for more than fifty years.
Moreover, in the research field , his work has led to the discoveries related
to neuroscience. Thus, he was awarded the Nobel Prize.
Summing up, Santiago Ramón y Cajal is one of the most important Spanish
scientists and,currently, his legacy is relevant to medicine.
