SHOULD EVERYONE HEAR OUR CONVERSATIONS???

Should everyone hear what you are saying?

( by Vero Bas from 2 bcss)

We live in a society that is used to doing it anywhere: on the bus, on the train, in restaurants and even in the movies. Moreover, talking on the mobile phone in public places has become part of our daily life, but I think that we should control our speech at all times, since we are not always in the right places or times.

There is no doubt nowadays, mobile phones play an important part in everyone's lives. Almost everyone on the Earth's population owns a mobile phone. They are compact, convenient and very useful to have around in an emergency. However, they aren’t only used for that reason, but we use them on a daily basis, to disconnect, to enjoy free time, to listen to music. In addition, mobile phones are used by us as work tools. But the point is that we listen to any conversation in a public place, and it's clear that the majority of these conversations are not urgent.

Of course, there are calls that are important and must be answered immediately. In such cases, why can't people go to a more private place to take the call? I do not think that the conversations that take place on the buses, for example, are so urgent that they cannot be answered with a message. I think there should be places where you can talk more openly without the need for everyone to hear, something like smoking areas.

In conclusion, the mobile phone is a great invention that has made our lives much easier, but in my opinion, calls should be more private. So, unless people use cell phones for emergencies, we will have to continue listening to people who speak very loudly on cell phones.
